At first I wanted to take guitar and bass lessons, but then I found out that they gave music production classes so I chose that. I thought that we would go directly to study musical production, but I also had a music theory class, which helped me understand the processes of composition and musical arrangements in an orderly way. My eyes opened when I saw that the order and correlation of the class content led to an incredible sound and result. This was nothing improvised, it was a very effective plan that made me grow and understand music in a different way. Something that stands out from my experience at Build Bridges Music is that I learned to be consistent with myself and my musical projects, to not procrastinate in the face of so many overlapping activities in my life. And that perseverance led me to realize things that were only in my mind before. Now I can see what I imagined or dreamed materialize, and I continue working and studying to improve even more.
Sometimes after class we would stay to eat something and record more time, and we spent a very pleasant time with my teacher. I think that helped me understand that it is not just theory, computers and instruments, but that there is a lot of feeling within music, so despite so much work I did not lose the essence of what making music means to me.
